Greene is a small town in Chenago County, in the southern central region of New York State. It was formed in the late 18^th century from the towns of Union and Bainbridge, and named for General Nathanael Greene—a celebrated hero from the American Revolution. The area is a little over 75 square miles, and has a population of just over 5,000. It's also a beautiful area in which to buy a home.
